The John W. Cegielski Award for Civility in Trial Practice
Beginning in 2006, the Association has presented an award to a local trial attorney in recognition of outstanding civility in the practice of law. The award is given to a member of the Association who is an experienced trial attorney who actively tries cases to conclusion and whose practice is consistently characterized by civility, fairness, and respect for opposing counsel. The first recipient was John W. Cegielski, after whom the award is now named. Subsequent members of the bar recognized for their outstanding civility in the practice of law were:
